Today the day

Today
This day
The day
One day
That changed the world

Earthquake and darkness
herald the event
Strong, impassive soldiers
who have seen everything
are stunned into belief...

The dead will walk
The living will fall into
silence
stunned, disbelief
questioning everything
doubting their certainty
and wondering...
"What did we do...?"

The faithful will hide
watching from afar
Fearful, bereft, inconsolable
lost and lonely - so very alone.

God will act
Seeming fury, rents the earth
Heaven itself protests
Earthquake and darkness
Shake the very foundations

This event,
This day
The day

Changes
Everything
Forever

View from here

I am having an unexpected trip
I stand in my parents garden
The sun warms my back
Over the wall is the sand dunes and eventually the sea

It is blowy but the spring sun is working its hardest

I am thankful for this quiet time
This thin time
This unpredictable time

Who knows what will come
Who knows what else will happen
For now peace reigns

And, in my heart I repeat the mantra
God has this, God has this
God
Has
This
Amen

Living Stones

If the children do not shout
these very stones will shout....

In the window sits the purple cloth - reminder of  Christ's Kingship
A candle  tall and strong - Christ's Light
A Stone Cross - copy of one, a strong symbol of our roots in the earth,
in the history of our land
Carved by ancient hands - who vandalised an even more ancient marker of pagan gods...
And Stones... washed and polished rivers stones

Jesus, the stones cry out
to tell the world
of your presence
in the world, in our lives, in our hearts
