Remember you are dust...

And so it beings....
Last night's ashes dry on skin
Flaking gritty
A stark reminder
And now to those desert days
To walk the wilderness
To listen in the silence

The waters of our baptism

To allow God to mold us, move us, challenge and inspire us
We remember, we are dust
We remember that to dust we will return


And yet...
In that inevitability there is also hope
For in the dust there is life
The dust is the rich source of life for rebirth
The waters of baptism
The promise of eternity
Walk with us O God
Through the waters, into the dust and out again to resurrection glory!
